My game crashed during the loading of the last train car (with the ending dialog for the last car) and now the game is stuck at this loading screen and I can't get to the main menu. Both game and trainer versions are windows 10. I was able to force an exit by pressing Alt-F4. But this leads to a black screen with no option to exit the game. Is there any way to get back to the main menu? Can I restart the game from the main menu?
The above support question was posted in a thread where the game didn't state that the game was DLC free. The poster replied to my comments and I changed the game to say that yes it is DLC free, meaning that if you don't want to pay the price and Konami is unwilling to offer a patch, then you will have to find your own fix. I still think that this is good business practice and people should be made aware of it. If someone still needs to call this a fix, then there is a problem else you need to find some other problem.
Update 2: I just loaded Metro 2033 with the crack that I have used for years (back when the game was released) and it says that there is an update available. I am assuming that it is the crack that was mentioned in this thread and not the official one. If so, is this correct?
I have also fixed a few bugs, the game will no longer crash when you try to cheat and a number of performance problems have been fixed. I have also added a basic sound test and created a new desired configuration menu which should allow you to test out every aspect of the game's shaders and settings.
