We discussed the differences between the 'invisible stat' and the difficulty mode in another article available on our blog. This is also something else that might come as a surprise: If you don't have an option to change either of the difficulty modes, play the game in classic mode. It will have the best balance of content and wether you are used to a certain mode or not.
As for the Definitive Edition of Divinity: Original Sin 2, the stats (and a few other things) can be changed to the advanced settings. This will automatically give you in-game explanations of what is going on which make it easier for the player to understand the mechanics. As you may or may not have noticed, Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a difficult game, so this may really help new players not just learn the game mechanics but also grasp the terminology. Even better, when you get to the tutorial levels, you are fully equipped with more or less the knowledge required to be able to play your character on your own.
With the Definitive Edition of Divinity: Original Sin 2, you get the option of playing the game in real-time. The cutscenes are no longer needed and the player isn't forced to focus so much on strategizing in a turn-based style. This is a new experience for the Final Fantasy Tactics type of game where you focus more on strategic parts of the game and gameplay mechanics.
If you love action/combat-type RPGs, Divinity: Original Sin 2's Classic Edition isn't for you. It incorporates some of the best mechanics of the game and some of its levels are made to feel like boss battles in a Diablo-esque way. If you are a casual RPG Lover and are a fan of the turn-based combat of the game, be warned: Classic Edition may not play as smoothly as the other editions, so you will need the experience of an expert to not get frustrated when you start the game.
If you're an alpha-striker in Divinity: Original Sin 2, you'll want to try Prynce to gain some Faith from set-bonuses. You'll have to grind some health with Cunning or save up Faith with a gem in your inventory. 7211a4ac4a
